WSE blades are high quality saw blades
which can be used on a variety of hand-held oscillating saws. Some of the key
manufacturers of these tools are Fein and Bosch.
There are three primary types of WSE
blades:
1) Universal blades which cut through
aluminium, copper and steel up to 2mm thick, hard plastics and timber with
embedded nails.
2) Standard wood blades which quickly
and cleanly cut through timber
3) Japanese-toothed blades, which are
designed for even faster, cleaner cuts in timber
Each blade type is available in several
sizes. The blades are attached to the different brands of saws by using an
adapter. Different adapters are used for different brands of saw, as each
manufacturer has it's own proprietary attachment mechanism.
Why are WSE blades better than other
blades?
Last longer
- WSE blades are bimetal construction and therefore are far more durable than
competitor's blades. In addition, all WSE blades can cut through nails - even
those that are designed for cutting timber.
More versatile
- the adapter sytem allows end users to use one brand of blades for all their
oscillating saws once the adapters have been fitted to each saw. Otherwise,
they'd have to carry separate blades for each brand of saw they own (i.e.
different blades for Fein and Bosch).
Better value
- because the blades last longer and cost about the same as other blades, WSE
blades offer customers better value for their money.
Why use an adapter system?
WSE blades are more cost effective: they last longer
and you only replace the cutting blade, not the fixing mechanism. This fact also makes them
more environmentally friendly than other blades.
Users who own more than one brand of saw can use the same blades on all their tools once
the adapters are fitted, making them easier to use and more convenient than other blades.
Who makes WSE blades?
These blades are made in Germany by a
company called Wielander and Schill Engineering. This
company manufactures reciprocating saws and sawblades for the automotive
industry which it distributes globally.
